Why doesn't BF2 have damage that's proportional to where you've been shot?

Just wondering...why is that? If you get shot in the foot, it does the same damage as getting shot in the face....kinda annoying when I empty a clip point blank into a guys brain stem, and he turnrs around, crouches, shoots me in the foot twice and I die. I've tested it with friends too over a LAN, so I know it's not lag (my pings are below 80 anyway). ......The premise that being hit in certain parts of your body will do more damage to you in videogames has been around for almost a decade now, why wouldn't BF2 have it?!?!

hmmmm I'll have to retest on the head shot thing again.....but DEFINETLY hitting someone in the chest/arm/leg/hand/foot all does the same ammount of damage.

Headshots DO DO more damage.

Armor (assault, support, AT) reduces damage taken from small arms by 1/4 - 1/3. (?)

I'm not quite sure, but I believe body shots and limb shots all count the same.

Head shots do more damage. With the upgraded assautl rifle it takes about 3 shots to teh chest for a kill. Ive killed people in 2 before when my crosshair was aimed at there head.

easiest is to test this with a sniper rifle. you can one-shot kill with a sniper rifle if you hit the head but if you hit the body it will take at least 2
