Why doesn't anyone come close to apple as far as design?

What they want is :
(1)- Something well built.
(2)- Something that they can easily navigate and use.
(3)- Something that isn't prone to viruses/spyware, as most users aren't that good at keeping their Windows systems clean.
(4)- Something that looks cool, and will match their iPhone/etc apple gateway product.

Right on the first 3, 4th is irrelevant because you have way more ppl shelling out big bucks for gaming laptops with shiny led lighting etc.

If there is a 4th its more so because the macbook pro syncs up better with an ipad/iphone because of the tightly coupled ecosystem mentioned by other posters in this thread.

Even the most ardent windows fan will have to admit that apple makes the best looking PCs and Laptops. No other manufacture makes products as well designed as apple. Apple PCs are like an art work, so well designed. Apple designers are not doubt the best in the industry. Leagues beyond anyone else.
