ever heard of AMA? Advanced Maternal Age. Refers to women above age 35; 35 being the "magical" age where the frequency of chromosomal abnormalities increases drastically. I believe it is on the order of from 3% to 30%

But like others have said; she has squirted one out; and to many people adoption is a good thing. Or...you'd rather more kids grow up abandoned and without parents?

Yes, that's it, I'm just picking at nits.

Seriously, you made a strong statement, I implicitly asked you to back it up, you gave your reasoning. It's more than just a 'nit' to declare an unadopted child won't starve in America.

Now go cool down.

I was wondering this myself. Sigh...if only I had been born in Cambodia and abandoned to the streets....

By all accounts she's a good mother to her adopted kids. I think you need to STFU.

Imagine being a friend of one of her kids. You could go to a sleep over at her house and sneak into the laundry room and sniff her worn panties and pantyhose.

Her kids could make a small fortune selling the stuff on E-Bay.

BTW...the kid practically won the lottery by being adopted. He has a better chance to make something of himself than he would of had living in an orphanage.

You're right; ASSUMING she actually keeps the kid.

AJ adopts another one = front page of every online news service and newspaper
Five years later, AJ gives back kid to native government = buried on page 21
Has she ever given a kid back?
If not, I don't think you can assume she will just because she's a rich celeb.
She probably has something of a heart by adopting to begin with.

Nope, not yet. Time will tell though. It just seems too trendy to me. And BTW...how many children are available for adoption in the USA? Just a few, IIRC. But she goes overseas to third world countries. Why? More press, thats' why. MHO.

What? returning previously adopted kids has become trendy? Your statement just made me dumber.
Because she has the influence and money to devote the majority of her spare time doing something about poverty, disease, hunger, et al in developing countries means she shouldn't? I don't get it....

dcdarren is on to something. I think he's discovered the elusive step in the underwear gnomes' plan--

1) steal underwear
2)obtain certificate of authenticity proving that it is Angelina Jolie's underthings
3) Profit $$$

:)

Do I know for fact that she's physically incapable of bearing children? No, I don't. But I'd bet her child bearing equipment is just fine. Statisically speaking, of course.

Sure; it's nice that's she's adopting children that would probably be euthanized by their respective third world governments before they reached reproductive maturity. But I want to see where these kids are at 10 years from now when it's not fashionable to adopt a pet anymore. Will these kids be attending some private school in the states with a trust fund ineritance...or will they be plowing a field back in their native homeland after Barbie loses interest in her new pets?

Thoughts?

you dont know what you're talking about. She's been a great mother to those kids and she's had one of her own. Bitch much?

Funny that you're prouder of the fact you "speak your mind" than you are that anything you say is "correct or not". You seek attention by speaking your mind, but don't care if what you say actually contributes anything to the listener. That reminds me of a child.

I hate to say it MichaelD...but this post screams ignorance. Just because you speak your mind...if your mind is full of ignorance, you deserve all the negative responses. Angelina Jolie is far from perfect, but she obviously has her heart in the right place. Here are some reasons:

1) She has been working with the UN for many years on improving conditions in third world countries for children. She has been a UN ambassador for most of that time. This has consumed most of her time outside of the time she spends making money on movie sets. She has repeatedly said that she only does movies now to fund her other interests. She has specifically stated that she feels blessed to be in such a position where she can make money in hollywood that allows her to spend most of her time doing something she feels passionate about (her charity work).
2) She was the first major celebrity that started this adopting "trend". So technically she was doing it way before it became "trendy".
3) She and Brad Pitt have their own child, so obviously she is not adopting just to keep her figure. There are plenty of MILFs out there...she obviously is one of them.

All in all, your statements make you look like an ignorant ass. Speaking your mind means nothing if what you are saying is utter rubbish.

My post is none of your business either. But you saw it and expressed interest, right? I did the same thing with her public displays. Has the little light gone on over your head or are you still drooling on your chin?

If your post is none of our business, then write down your thoughts in a diary and stop wasting our time.

i'm not too hard on her because well, she does have atleast one biological kid so she's not that vain. there are other actresses that are barren..like nicole kidman/sharon stone, stone cold foxes that are biological dead ends apparently. so crazy as cruise might be, he was wise to jump to katie.

as for adoption abroad, my guess is the real benifit is that you won't have much chance of greedy american biological parents ever finding you because of some reporter or whatever hunting them down somehow.

a) why do you care if she has her own kids, or adopts?
b) why do you think the kids are "pets"?
c) why waste time on a thread about it?

while i agree that many celebrites are lame, to jump to such ridiculous conclusions based on little if any information is pretty stupid. here's an idea - lets all stop wasting time on such trivial pursuits as celebrity, and focus on things that matter - like being informed, active participants in our government. maybe if more people did that instead of watching ET we wouldn't have lamo's like shrub ruining the world for us.
