WHY DOESNT ANANDTECH HAVE PICTURE POSTS?

Ive seen many other sites allowing picture posts? why doesn't Anandtech do so too? Does it take up too much bandwidth or hd space? It would be extremely nice to have picture posts! tell Anand if he can do something about it.

In the great words on AnandTech Moderator: It won't be happening. The moderation of pictures would be near impossible and the abuse would be ridiculous.

Plus you stated it already... too much bandwidth.
It would not affect the bandwidth if the pictures were only linked within the thread and not actually uploaded to AnandTech's server.

IIRC, didn't ATF allow pictures in posts a while back??? Didn't they also allow HTML at the same time too?

Been a while, but I do beleive they did.

When they first moved to FT3, images were enabled for a little while. Recently there was a bug where you could insert things inside of the anchor tags, so people were using css to add colors and whatnot, but that was unintentional.

Because it would be ugly, unprofessional looking, and hard to moderate. The same reason they shouldn't have custom avatars.

exactly. add to that the fact the page would take way too long to load.
