Why doesn't AMD license and bundle SSD caching software with their boards?

Just curious, why doesn't AMD purchase some sort of permanent license to one of these SSD caching software packages, and bundle it with motherboards with their chipsets? They could modify the binary to only work with their AMD onboard SATA chipsets, thus there wouldn't be much risk of piracy.

They could even pull an Intel, and make the software only work with SB950 and A85X chipsets, if they wanted to.

Certainly, the presence of such software would make the AMD platform a much more compelling choice. Currently, Intel has SRT, and AMD has nothing, so to speak. (Ok, they both have RAID drivers.)

They don't bundle it specifically because they know you won't be able to tell the difference.

and they also know that there's just too much cost involved considering all the standalone 3rd party sources that make it possible on any Windows based system regardless of hardware config's.

Why not just add an SSD caching drive?

Or use Fancycache on another extra SSD(or part of it) that you may already own?

lol.. only 4 gigs?

but hey.. if they get more of your cash from selling you their memory?.. they'll up it to a whopping 6 gigs! yee haaa!

they're just as bad as Intel. Well.. almost. :whiste:
And frankly windows vista and later have RAM disk built in. Anything often used gets preloaded and stored in RAM with superfetch.
