Which is how it should be. You don't want to help your competitors. But you had dumb B&M retailers like Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Office Depot, etc selling Amazon branded stuff like the Kindle, Fire TV, etc in their stores effectively helping Amazon destroy them. They consider Apple to be a big competitor. For a while, they stopped selling Apple TV devices. They said it was because they didn't want to confuse Prime subscribers who might think they'd have access to Prime Video with the device. In reality, Amazon had no interest in putting Prime Video on Apple devices because they wanted to sell Fire TV instead.

Yes. They also sell Apple TV devices again.prime video works on apple tv as of the end of last year
The funny thing is that if you're Google, you don't really care where the users get their content from. Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, whatever. As long as they can sell you ads, they're happy.
That's one of the reasons why owning a Nexus device was so nice.
Yeah, you don't exactly see Amazon branded products in an Apple Store, do you? Why should it be the other way around?
