Why doesn't Amazon sell iPads and iPhones directly from Amazon.com LLC but instead only from third p

iPads and iPhones on Amazon are only sold from third party sellers why ?

Which is how it should be. You don't want to help your competitors. But you had dumb B&M retailers like Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Office Depot, etc selling Amazon branded stuff like the Kindle, Fire TV, etc in their stores effectively helping Amazon destroy them.

Amazon, Google, Apple are all fighting over the same customers for content sales.

If you buy a Fire tablet, you'll probably get your books, music and movies from Amazon. If you buy an iPad you're much more likely to buy them through iTunes.

The funny thing is that if you're Google, you don't really care where the users get their content from. Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, whatever. As long as they can sell you ads, they're happy.

That's one of the reasons why owning a Nexus device was so nice.

Not quite. Google wants to sell you to their advertisers more than anything else, but they are also making their 30% cut of $17 billion a year in Play store sales. They'd rather have that $5 billion go to them than Apple.

Because Amazon is supposed to sell "everything" - they're the Internet's one-stop-shop for whatever you want. I rarely even use Newegg anymore for computers parts tbh.
