Why doesn't AIM has invisible capability?

MSN and Yahoo Messenger both have that capability so I know its possible. Better yet, why don't they upgrade their look, heck any new feature would be a nice change.

They just added multiple locations and linked accounts.

Which, by the way, adds psuedo invisibility. You can log off your "real" account and use a linked "stealth" account to check your buddy list. I don't think you can IM from your real account while it's logged off though.

Pretty much. Seems like all other IM clients have more features.

If you go into your privacy settings you can go to "block all members except those on my buddylist" and you'll pretty much be invisible to everyone except for people who are on your current buddylist.

Bah. If you want to see others, make yourself available too. It's only fair. I'm glad AIM doesn't have this feature.

I hate people who hide - their intention is to hide from one person, but nobody else sees them and well... you don't want to have to wait for them to initiate conversation first especially when you have something to tell them.

dead aim allows you to im while you have an away message up too...

i'm not positive..but i think someone told me new version of aim you can be invisible to everyone and still im them at the same time. someone did that to me a couple days ago. Was offline..but could still im me. ::shrugs:: maybe i'll ask him about it tomorrow.

It's new version of aim...but it doesn't work with dead aim..i think that's what he said.

you guys are missing the easy solution. Just sav your buddy list then make new screen name. Never message anybody from this new screen name and you're always "invisible".

So does Trillian. :)

Yep. I've been using Trillian for ages. Long before anyone else did. People were always askin how I was IMing them while my away message was up. :D

Ahh didn't know it was an option in Trillian. I was wondering if it was and I got my lazy @$$ to check it.
