Why does.........

The ice makes the pop fizz more, making it a little more flat, which makes it better because you can taste the soda instead of the carbonation.

Anyone know why ice makes pop fizz? I thought gases were supposed to be less soluble at HIGHER temperatures. Doesn't make sense to me... Is it because it gives the gas something to latch onto?
