Why does Zelda always have a bad ending?

After playing a game for 40 hours and beating it, can't you get a half decent ending? I kind've anticipated it after the lame ending in OOT, but come on!

yeah. the ending to TP was kinda crappy.


edit: BUT was a lot better then some games i have played. "the end" just gets me pissed off.

Oh I agree. The game itself was GREAT. But when you finally finish it, you expect a good ending. It seems a lot of games these days think of the end cut as an afterthought (GoW, F.E.A.R, etc.)

Wow. You'll completely write off a game for the quality of its cutscene ending? Wow.


Half-Life's gameplay was amazing. The graphics were up to date, the physics was good, the AI was tough and innovative, and the story really drew you in. But flying through space in a subway thing at the end? I only give the game a 2/10.

Yeah, the ending to HL2 wasn't all that great either. HL1 definitely takes the cake for an ending that kills your expectations

I never cared too much about endings, or cut-scenes, or any of that. I always cared about the actual gameplay, anything else is just an excuse to get up and go to the bathroom.
