Why does Yahoo Messenger clear ie's cache?

I just installed Yahoo Messenger for work, and I have a different work ID than my personal yahoo ID. But every time I sign onto Yahoo messenger, my saved login info for Yahoo's website is cleared from ie's cache.

wtf? I hate this stupid program. It keeps logging me off, too.

Anyway, is there some preference I'm missing that I can turn off so it stops clearing my login info for the yahoo website?
