Why does Word CRASH every time? Does it do the same on yours?

Heres my question:
I can open up Microsft Word or any other program like that and if i take the scroll bar and drag it down and then up and then down and so on the program will crash. If it do it really fast it will crash immediately, just by dragging the scroll bar back and forth really fast. Why does this happen? Try it on your computer, does the program crash?? I have a GE Force 3 card and a Logitech mouse. It will also crash sometimes just by using the pg up and pg down. I also have the newest nvidia drivers and im using windows xp.

you think that's bad? heh, once a while back I reformatted and installed windows and eventually got to Office 97.

so I install it, and when I later ran it (I think to write up an essay at the last minute), I found that upon starting it, it would automatically give me a freakin GPF! no matter what I did!

so I turned over to my trusty Linux installation (thank GOD I had that)...

oddly enough, next time I formatted, Office 97 worked fine again (????).

My Office97 works fine. Do you have the latest Service Release (SR-2) from MS?

My Office 97 started crashing when I installed the SP2. I had to uninstall everything and reinstall Office to get up and running again. Lesson learned: if it ain't broke, don't download Microsoft's patch.

Never had a problem with my copy of Office 2000. Except for having to register it.
