When ever I am using Windows media player I am get Zone Alarm pop-ups asking permission for WMP to access the internet. Why is it doing this? Anyone know? Is it reporting ummmm..........what content I am using it with, downloaded mp3s, porn?

most likely, almost always, it will be trying to access the internet for the Media Guide tab on the left side, if you don't want to you don't have to let it access the internet though!

if you disable its ability to connect to the internet for media tab and such, it also will inhibit WMP ability to download codecs etc. so be aware that you may need to get those on your own (what i do, cuz i hate WMP anyway lol).

If you use it to rip cd's to wma or mp3 it will try to access the net for album info and cover art also.

I think there's an option to automatically check for updates, and you want to make sure this is off.
