Why does WinAudit and Everest report such a large swap file?

I have 2 gigs of RAM, a Raptor for the main drive, and a WD for the second drive. I configured my swap file to the second drive, and XP's Virtual Memory window shows no paging file for the Raptor, and 512MB "currently allocated" on the second drive (Initial=512, Maximum=512), Recommended=3067.

However, WinAudit claims Maximum Swap File=2403, Free Swap File=2002.

I got the old Everest Home edition, and it's a bit more confusing...
Swap Space
- Total 2403
- Used 407
Virtual Memory
- Total 4449
- Used 954

Is this something I can just ignore? Or did I configure my permanent swap file incorrectly?

Thanks

Nevermind...I just found out that in XP, it disregards the permanent limit I set if more virtual memory must be used. Third-party utils are only telling me what XP would consume if I run beyond my set limit.
