Why does Win ME show 3 floppy drives?

I have a dual boot setup between ME and 2K, Win 2K is my primary OS, but I loaded up Win ME yesterday and noticed that it shows 3x 3.5" floppy drives. They are letter wierd too. I think they are like A:, M:, and K: or something. I actaully only have one floppy and it's actually an LS120 Superdisk drive. Also when i open my computer in ME and try to click on any of the drives(including partitions) it runs very very slow and sometimes freezes the system. Thirdly, how do I boot off a floppy? I assume I must have changed a setting in my BIOS, cause even if I have a disk in the drive, it boots to the dual boot screen then whatever system I choose, but will not boot off the floppy. What do i do to fix this?

Sorry, I'm only answering the last question.
Yup that's a BIOS issue. You need to look around for a boot order like first boot device: IDE 0, second boot device: CDROM, etc. Change it too First:Floppy, Second: IDE 0, Third: CDROM or if you have a SCSI then put that in place of IDE 0

See thats the problem, I had it as first Floppy second IDE0 and third CDROM, and it wasn't working, so I think i changed it to first LS120, and the rest the same, still didn't work, so i made them all floppy, still nothing. I don't know what else to change.

I wasn't even thinking, does the BIOS recognize the LS120? Do you have it plugged into one of the IDEs or does it actually plug into the FDD connector? I don't have much experience with those drives.

I vaguely recall hearing about a problem pre-win2k that caused explorer to view drives incredibly slow if no floppy disk drive was found. My best guess is that either WinME doesn't accept the LS120 as a standard floppy drive or that the LS120 isn't even functioning.

Although, If the LS120 WAS functioning correctly - putting it at the top of the boot list should have allowed you to boot from it (I'd assume).
