Why does typing in 97 word boost cpu up to near 100% usage????

As post says is this normal??? It isn't just opening it...it is when typing commences cpu usage climbs dramatically. does not happen in wordpad, notepad, typoing message in email, or typing on this forum...

Any ideas?????

Its a bug.

M$ cant be fuked to fix it until they released Word2000.

My Word 97, running in win2K, doesn't even register as CPU usage when typing. Do you have the latest service release (SR-2)?

It must be a bug in Win ME. That's reason enuff to switch over to XP.
