Why does this program run very slowly?

Hi,

I have been playing "Spider Solitarie" in a new computer, but for some reason this game doesn't run as smooth in this computer. In another computer with Windows 98 and a Pentium 2 processor it runs fine. Do you have any suggestions on what might be causing this?
What kind of process might be putting so much stress in the CPU?

Here is the specs of the rig:
MSI KT3 Ultra
AMD XP 1800+
Radeon 8500LE 64MB
Maxtor 40G
