because those who are married now were born in a different time than those who are in the teenager/young adult dating phase.

Are you saying I was born in 1940?

Shut the F@ckup, are you retarded?

I'm 31 and my wife is 27. I drive when we are both in the car unless I'm drunk, then she drives.

So the woman can take care of the kids in the backseat and finish putting on her makeup.

i just like driving, so i tend to drive no matter who i go out w/, male or female, and b/c i'm a guy, when i go out w/ girls, i'm still always the one driving, so it's still a guy driving....

besides, i get nervous when i'm not driving... i tend to notice things a lot quicker (as far as driving goes) than most other people, and i would like to say i have more skill than almost all the female drivers i know...

haha. when my family goes places, it's my mother or sister who drives.

aside from when a trailer is involved, cause we know neither of them can drive decently.

basically, my father does everything possible to get out of driving.

When I'm in my car, then I drive. When I'm in her minivan, then she drives.

This works out well because I only use my car to commute, or if I'm doing something without the wife and kids.

Whenever I drive with her as a passenger she annoys the hell out me with her back seat driving. So I just let her drive so I don't end up smacking the hell out of her... :D

I would have to go with this answer.

Same here, and have you ever seen a women talk and drive? Her expressions include flying arms.

Men at least have the sense to keep their hands on the wheel even when they are shouting or yelling....

It's dangerous to be in the passenger seat with a pissed off female driver.

So the woman can relax, etc. I got the impression it was just to save the woman a hassle.. ie... the gentleman thing to do.

I drive whenever i want to when my husband and i go out. It's no big deal to me. And even though he allows it he still says "I feel a little emasculated when you are driving". So im gonna guess this goes way back to some sort of men have the power make the money blahblah blah crap.

It might be the last day of my life, but she can. I can do 60 on a dirt road in that thing without flinching. She can't quite do 45 on a perfectly smooth asphalt road with banked turns in her mom's Honda. Oh, and she sucks at shifting, too. I don't drive manuals often, but I can sure as hell do better than her. But she's still learning, not fully licensed yet.

Uhh... k...

Maybe it's because you don't want to stop to buy a new wardrobe on the way to dinner?

If I don't drive I'll end up in Mexico or anywhere OTHER than my destination :) I like driving and usually don't mind. On long trips I take the wheel everytime. Quite frankly when she drives I am often rather nervous!

El Story...

I bought a dirt bike in 1996. I decided to teach my wife how to ride a motorcycle in 1998. We ended up sideways in a ditch. Why you ask? Because the wife forgot which lever was the brake and which was the clutch.

I kept screaming "pull in the cluth and apply the brakes, theres a truck ah coming". "Pull in the brake"!! "For the love of God pull the brake"!!!!!!! "Oh sweat Mother of God we are going to die"!!!!!!

Pain..................................................

Thats why men always drive.

well you're not exactly typical of the last generation, considering how you're acting like a teenager

Driving around town I don't mind the girls driving. On the highway, I hate riding with a girl driving.
