Why does the Geforce4 need the quad cache which it has when it already has a mem(650mhz) which is faster than the chipset itself(300mhz)! Anyone?

Just because the memory is faster than the GPU doesn't mean the graphics card can't use it. The GPU just needs to be made to take advantage of the higher bandwith. Take the Pentium 4s for example. They run on 100MHz FSB, but they use Rambus which is much faster than just 100MHz. The P4 was designed to take advantage of the high bandwith. That is why using DDR with a Pentium 3 is pointless because it wasn't desinged for the high bandwith.
