I think CITR is a great but probably overrated book, and recommend it to male teenagers.

I didn't like catcher in the Rye that much. Found it a bit boring. It might have been true that Salinger captured the voice of a teen much younger than he but the plot did not interest me that much.

Her name was Sunny and he just talked to her. I remember meeting a stripper named Sunny (probably stage name) and it made me remember Catcher in the Rye at the time.

I doubt it's that the book screws people up; it's probably just that "unbalanced" people are able to find something in the story to which they can relate.

I carried a copy to jury duty. It didn't help. I read it between jury sessions.

I own fifteen copies, and I've read them all...
