SNL - Ferrel - Sandler - Rock - Farley - basically anyone on in the early 90's = Just another show not worth watching.
 
It is WORSE than a show not worth watching. It has SUCKED for 10+ years. Even when they had good people only a couple skips were humorous. If I ran that studio, I'd clear the top off that show so fast they'd have to get their shoes resoled and their Rolex watches recalibrated. Can that junk.
 
ok glad i'm not the only one wondering why is SNL so unfunny. i thought my sense of humour was really skewed
 
frank caliendo does a great madden impression though... i can't watch MNF without thinking about that

have u watched reruns of the old ones? i've come to the conclusion it has always sucked. maybe 1 in 10 chance u'll actually laugh at a skit.
 
I happened to click SNL on (pretty sure it was SNL) and it had people from MadTV on it. Very odd. Still sucked.



Blame the writers, the sh1t is not funny and no amount of slapstick, deadpan, maudlin, or mimogrphy could save it.
 
SNL sucked hard for well over 10 years and got a little better like a year or two ago and now is back to sucking hard again. MAD was realy good when it first started and was good for a couple years but now it's no better than SNL. i like stand-up comedy way more than these shows.
 
that madden skit was pretty funny.

with Tivo, I can clear an episode of SNL in under 20 minutes. I just watch the monologue, music acts if I like the band, and skip past any skit that doesn't strike me as funny within the first 30 seconds.
 
it was best with chris farley/adam sandler. will ferril has some good skits too.
that one guys bush impersonation SUCKS tho...jeez
 
I think part of the problem is the humor of the show is incredibly pretentious, it's awash in "inside jokes" and faux comedy sophistication. The only good thing to come out of SNL in a decade is Will Ferrel and I've been so busy haitng that show for so many years I didn't realize how funny the guy actually is. Anchorman f#$king rocked 😀
