Limits my transfer speed between my locally networked PCs

I was very confused on why I could only get a constant 48kb a second transfer whenever I started moving files between my pcs/notebook.....

but than I installed WS_FTP and files started to transfer at 75-80 MB/S which is a whole lot faster

dont know but does it to me also. i only get bout 1meg/sec over my lan with it. useing AIM i get 8-10megs/sec

useing ftp voyager i get the same as AIM
