It does? There's hardly any homeless in the socialist European cities I've been to. They were a lot smaller than SF though

Yeah, you haven't been to many, then.

You should check out Paris, and any other major European capital. Gypsies are everywhere, and the state of poverty is far more striking than what you tend to see in the US.
