No, really perknose, tell us your true feeling on the subject Your current description had me laughing so hard I had to re-read it for it to register. Anyway, it could have been edited out, or it could be the fact that I am burned out from finals and a total of four 2 hour naps for sleep in the last 3 days, but I didnt see any threatening in the thread you linked. Flaming, yes, threatening, no. I assume the threats went on over PM.

In any case, I could not care the least about titles. I don't care for them and would prefer I have none attached to my name.

My personal philosophy is demonstrated with how I treat people. People get my responses based on their conducts and merits. I do not care what title you have next to you. For if you do not behave like one, then you get just the same level of response. If you behave well, you get treated as one of such merit (provided good).

Titles of this nature are meaningless. Keep in mind that I do not speak of just the so-called "elite' title. I speak of other titles including, but not limited to, "senior member", "platinum member", "junior member". I do not for a moment consider them (with exception to new membership where someone may show inexperience and need help) and rarely do observe them. Now, if those titles came from a supreme being, then I would have utmost respect and be in awe of those who bear the title. Nonetheless, it is not to the best of my knowledge some divine ordination.

Red Dawn - Texmaster threatened a woman? <yawn> Even if a "threat" was really made, I've received tons of threatening messages in the past, but I guess it don't count because I'm not a woman? Heck, I've received physical threats and then the person who was making them was made an Elite even though it was made public that the threats were being made (not just to me, btw, and he hasn't stopped).

As a matter of fact, much of what you and others who are more direct in their flaming post can be considered "threats".

As far as I have been able to tell, the few women who frequent this BBS are more than able to handle themselves and a few threatening words means diddly-squat to them. They can dish it out when they have to as well.
