I was printing something off adobe acrobat, 4 pages, and the task manager said it took up 100 percent cpu, why is that? Is there something wrong with my system?(specs below) Windows Media Player was open as well.

Acrobat documents are the equivalent of a large image file in some cases. Most files without images or few images seem to be printed as text though.

What kind of printer, parallel or USB?

Assuming it's parallel make sure you have print spooling turned on and check your BIOS to make sure you have the parallel port set to ECP+EEP (I think??).

maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with vector vs. .rastor..

all jpg's and gif's bmp's etc are rastor, acrobat looks defenatly vector to me

it's a parallel printer and print spooling is turned on. This ONLY happens when printing acrobat files, not during normal usage.
