is it a driver issue or a hardware issue? i was wondering because the monitor's builtin scaler doesnt add latency
if scaling is set to "display" (rather than "gpu") input seems more fluid. thank you so much for replying"Do not scale" should add no lag, as it doesn't do anything but display what was rendered, unless it is your monitor's scaler that is adding the lag. Or did you mistype?
sorry for the confusion... i actually didnt mistype my first post.So obviously you mistyped your first post. It is not the "do not scale" option that is adding lag, but the "fit to screen" or "aspect ratio" that is. I do notice some added latency when I down sample, which obviously scales, though that must be scaling on my monitor, as I do not have it set to scale on the GPU. I had to turn it off last night when playing Skyrim, as I was getting nauseated due to the added latency.
Actually, I took another look, and my downscaling option was scaling on the GPU, and it definitely caused latency. I might try to scale on the Display next time to see if there is a difference...assuming it can even do it.sorry for the confusion... i actually didnt mistype my first post.it sounds like we get opposite results
