Why Does My WinXPPRO Boots so Slow?

Running 1GHZ 266FSB T-bird on Shuttle AK31A(E9 BIOS) with Seagate Barracuda 40GB drive and HP 4x4x20 CD-RW. It takes my system quite a while to boot up, my celeron 533 boots up even faster and it has half the ram (128MB). Any ideas? Thanx

Have you tried BootVis.exe to do a boot up optimisation?

tried it, I ran "optimize", still nothing. ANy other ideas?

You have to run a Trace + Drivers first before an optimisation can take place.
