Why does my vcore fluctuate in MBM5?

in the bios, i set the vcore to user defined, and put 1.75 v for my 1ghz tbird.

in mbm5 the field for vcore fluctuates between 1.74v and 1.78v. why doesn't it stay constant at 1.75?

most motherboards add a little extra voltage to be on the safe side (more stability) most of the motherboards ive worked with actually have about 1.8v when set at 1.75, and..... they usually stay right at 1.8 not fluctuating, if yours is changing between 1.74 and 1.78 you may have a bad power supply

when i set the vcore to "auto" the mobo sets the vcore to 1.78v. when it's on auto, it doesn't fluctuate at all in mbm5. what could be wrong?
