Why does my processor hang the BIOS during bootup?

I just upgraded the processor on my motherboard to an AMD Athlon XP Barton core 3000 processor, which has an FSB of 200.

The motherboard is an Epox EP-8K9A7I, which says it will accept this processor and FSB just fine.

When I clear the CMOS, it defaults the CPU FSB to 100. If I go into the BIOS and change the CPU FSB to either 133 or 166, it boots up fine.

However, if I'm in the BIOS and change the CPU FSB to 200, it reads the processor as an Athlon 3000 but hangs every time. No matter what.

If I clear the CMOS and repeat the steps, I can only get the FSB safely to 166, but then the proc is read as an Athlon 2500 which is not what I want.

Antec power supply, Corsair DDR400 memory - everything works great except for when I goto 200 for FSB.

Please advise.
