Why does my monitor cut off and buzz/flicker with high brightness and 9300k color?

As opposed to 6500K color and medium brightness it works perfect

its a 4 year old HP 2509m

The 6500k color has made a huge difference in its reliability even as its about to go now. Who knew color tone had such a huge effect?
Too bad the whites are sooooo yellow.

Its a shame was a beautiful glossy monitor vs stupid traditional matte why do companies insist on making those matte displays? its hazy and fuzzy compared to clear coat/glass

how long you all estimate this monitor has at current settings? should I keep it and use it as is or buy a new 23" LED IPS AOC I am getting a deal on?

firstly check your leads make shure that they are properly connected..specially the mains iec cord..replace the mains cord would be my fist check..aside from that yes it sounds like the power supply is wearing out capacitors in the switching circuit work hard and there fore wear the quickest...the higher the brightness the more draw from the interal power supply..as for a new screen yes always a good choice i am not familiar with the one you spec want but new is always better than old and yes i agree on the matt finish subject...
