why does my downloading stop

i'm pretty sure this is the right forum for this question, sorry if im wrong

i have dial-up internet and when i download anything above 9 or 10 megs it stops downloading suddenly. It doesnt say that it was canceled it just stops. i use mozilla if it matters. small files of about 1 or 2 megs do just fine

Dont really know the answer to your question, could it be time limited in your Software? You may want to check in to a download manager that would resume your download if disconnected?
