why does my comp restart for no damn reason?

IT just reboots w/out anything happening to it. when im in the middle of doing something.. bamm. it reboots.. Im running XP ... does anyone have ne idea on how to help me or why this is happening.. any help would be appreciated

I've seen some overclocked comps do this on occasion...

Check and see if your memory sticks have been inserted nice and snugly.

Check all cards as well.

Hmm...the only thing I could think of is the BSOD w/automatic restart option turned on, but XP doesn't have that anymore I think

Bad power supply maybe. Check to make sure the fan on it is functional.
