She's shedding like crazy. She loves to be brushed, but only for a minute, then she hisses at me and runs away... Only to be back again in 5 minutes.

I think she's bipolar. Do they make kitty lithium?

<< She's probably not fixed, is she? >>

Nope fixed. :) But that was a good try! I got her from the humane society though. Who knows what sicko had her before.

Maybe the brush reminds her of something bad that happened to her. You could try one of those pet hair gloves I've seen around, might make her more comfortable.

Do you remember where you saw it?

<< It's a cat. How else to you expect it to act? Get a dog. >>

Dogs suck... If I wanted to babysit something like that I'd have children.

Mday,

Sluggo suggested all females are bipolar, so I just accepted it as fact.

Use duct tape. It's quick, it's clean. My kitty made these weird noises at me when I did it, I think he was trying to cuss me out.

Depends on the cat - and the person wielding the vacuum cleaner.

We have one cat that seems to like it, two that will tolerate it for short stretches (if someone else holds them and skritches all the good places, too), and two that leave for the far ends of the house if you so much as pick up the nozzle.

Get a cockcroach. If you hate it, you can squish it and get a new one.
And if it hisses at you, you have a bigger problem than shedding.

it can also have to do with the time of year. i know some animals shed at different rates at different seasons.
