Why does my ATI dvd player vibrate?

I swear I'm telling the truth. My picture vibrates! I don't have other problems with the dvd. Other software plays it just fine. Also, if I enable spdif output I get slowed down sound that goes out of sync. Weird!

At Intel, when our system did funky stuff, we called it a "feature". If you are usign ATI's DVD player, make sure you do not have any other DVD players installed. If you do, uninstall them.

Does it vibrate throughout the whole movie? I've noticed on my Radeon that with some DVDs the credits will kinda shake back and forth slightly, but it always goes away once the movie starts. You might also want to fiddle with the de-interlacing options under control panel=>ATI multimedia center. Try selecting different de-interlacing modes and and also make sure to check the adaptive de-interlacing box if it isn't already.

Thanks guys, particularly comp10. I was wondering where the hell those deinterlacing settings were! I ran the compatibility test and it says my soundcard stability is dubious, at 0.6% stability. However since it is a Live! model and works very well, I don't think that is the problem.
