Why does my Abit KT7 only detect drives as ATA66?

I have 4 WD ata100 harddrives on my ata100 channels on the abit kt7 and they are showing up as ata66. If i put these harddrives on the raid controller they show up as ata100. IS there any settings I need to change? I looked in the bios and couldnt find anything

Doesn't the kt7 use the via 686A southbridge? If so, then there is your limitation. The 686A only makes use of ata66 max. The via 686B added support for ata100. Someone correct me if im wrong about this.

Multi I/O Functions
Four Channels of Bus Master IDE Ports supporting up to four Ultra DMA 33/66/100(up to 8 HDD devices)

Wierd though...the ABIT KT7 says only 33/66 but the ABIT KT7-RAID (what i have) it says 33/66/100

I have the KT7R too. The Highpoint 370 controller adds ATA 100 support. The KT7 only has ATA66. However, PCI ATA100 cards are cheeep. I got my Promise TX2 for $25+shipping. Awesome card. I use it so ALL my drives are on their own channels. Better that way.
