Why does my 1ghz T-bird default to 750mhz on Iwill KK266 board? Do I have to set the multipliers/FSB manually?

Like the topic says. I can't get this AVIA 1000mhz to post at default mhz. It's a 266 FSB AVIA chip on a Rev 1.2 Iwill KK266 (Non-Raid). This computer was built for a friend, and I have to deliver it tomorrow morning. It shows that the max FSB can only be pushed up to 132. What? This is a 133mhz FSB motherboard and theoretically should be able to hit 166mhz. I attempted setting FSB to 132...Ram at PCI host+ 33mhz...multiplier 8.0. Posted at 990mhz and then got all crazy...bios froze up a few times (which has never happened to me with all the computers I've built)

I'm sure this is a simple issue and I'm completely overlooking some issues, but I just have no time fiddle with the computer tonight, so maybe you guys had a quick idea. I'm very computer savvy, but seriously have 5 mins tonight..eek...and have not done my homework on the new KT133A boards, so don't reem me out ..haha.

Thanks a lot guys...I'll owe you one.

And if you think this is a possible issue, let me know, and I'll swap it out with an A7V133 from Asus tomorrow morning. Asus has been my best friend for the last years and it shows it's a solid performer in the KT133A category.

There is a jumper on the board you need to change to start you bus at 133. JP3 Look in your manual on pg6.
