Why does Mozilla and Firebird freeze?

I d/led the newest version of FB and it froze the first time I run it (and every other time). The only hint is that in the status bar, it says "resolving host: www.mozilla.org" then it freezes. I got the same problem with Mozilla 1.4, but somehow got it to work by changing settings to open a blank page, as opposed to mozilla.org, upon startup. But this problem is bugging me and I don't remember how I solved it the first time.

Have you tried deleting your profile and starting anew? I know it's not fun, but it often solves some issues when changing builds. The same may also be true with your Mozilla. Just be sure to save your bookmarks.html file so you don't have to do that all over again. :)

If you're running Win2k/XP, your profile should be under c:\Documents and Settings\username\application data\phoenix\

With Firebird, they suggest clearing your profile before installing certain installations.

I'm still trying to figure out how to import my I.E.6 *cookies*. I have successfully imported the *favorite* folders but I can't get the cookies :(

I didn't even know that you could import cookies. If I were you I'd bake my own. It's way to expensive to import stuff, when you can just do it yourself.

In other words, why not just type the passwords?
