Why does ludicris call him "Ursher"?

What's with rappers deliberately mis-pronouncing sh*t? I know I'm not a dope playa and I'm a hata, etc. but in that song Yeah with usher, ludicris, and lil john or some crap he calls him ursher. Damn that bugs the hell out of me.

Actually it is southern slang. In ATL they pronounce R as UR so like hair would be hur. Its just southern slang. Gosh I mean lets not me lame folks.

actually that's one of the few songs I enjoy listening to from modern day rap.

What bugs the sh!t out of me though is when I'm walking somewhere and I hear people screaming YEAH or OK or WHAT and think they're funny.

And "Ursher" can sing, no doubt about that.

Ludacris started saying that a while ago, just being silly in an interview, and i guess just decided to say it in that particular song again.
