at the supermarket, spaghetti and angel hair pasta are always on sale, but not linguini.

linguini is also $0.10 more on regular prices for 16oz.

any reason why linguinni is more expensive and goes on sale less?

any 'special shape' pasta will cost more... iirc, spaghetti, ziti and elbow are usually cheaper than the rest.

There isn't that much of a market for linguini, hence, it has smaller production cycles and costs more. Besides, only Italian surrender monkeys eat that crap.

cause those three are the most popular. They sell the most, so the stores can buy them the cheapest in bulk... it is a pita to have to change the pasts blades to make different shapes that dont sell as well as the top 3 anyway, so they charge more... honestly, how often does one make lasagna or stuffed shells compared or spaghetti or mac and cheese?

Yeah I noticed linguine was 10 cents more, but I didn't really care. It's 10 cents difference for a meal...
