Why does keeping the avocado seed in guac keep it from turning black??

make your guac and put the whole seed in the mix and the quac doesnt turn black... It does work but i dont understand why.

just your ordinary guac. you proably eat it too fast, leave it out for about an hour and i guarantee you it will turn black.

another tip is to use lemon juice but i dont like the taste and it makes the guac watery.

i use lime, jus a lil
 
Yea I've heard leaving the seed with the avocado slows down the browning process (maybe less surface area for oxygen to react with).
