Why does Judge Judy gotta be such a bitch?

There's a small yet sizeable segment of the sit-on-their-asses-all-day-and-watch-TV trailer trash population that must cheer her on, if she's still on the air.
 
you know what i can't stand is judge hatchett. it's the same BS over and over again, some kid is out of control, so she sends them to jail, they come back a changed person, give the judge a hug and get sent on their merry way.
 
I think if you had to sit up there all day and listed to some of the BS those idiot defendents and plaintiffs put out, you would be doing a lot of smack down too.

She'd kick your ass if you backtalked to her.

But it's just her "schtick." She plays a character like everyone else on television. She's no different than Jackie Gleason 50 years ago.
 
She does it because that's what sells. Think about all the other court shows that try and copy her attitude. It's quite amusing ...

No you would take her sh!t and like it because when you go on that show, regardless of who wins, the show pays the settlement. That is true for all of those court shows.

because its a TV show and they have to add drama to get people to watch it.

If you ever want to have some fun go to a real small claims court and you will see a huge difference in how a real judge acts.

Plantiff idNut is sueing Defendant Anand Lal Shimpi for creating a website and online message board that wastes entirely too much of his time. He's seeking damages to recoup the money he could have earned if he got off his fat ass and got a job instead of being "forced" to sit in front of a computer screen 20 hours/day.

I saw some clips of her when she was a real judge doing, if memory serves correctly, family law and she was pretty much the same then as well. If it is "her act" then she was doing it before she had the TV show.
