Why does Jesus get thanks, but...

never the Holy Ghost or the Father? Why do they never get any recognition? The Catholics I know never seem to know much about either.

Neither of them ever walked on water, arose from the dead, got nailed to a cross, turned water into wine, healed the sick, etc.

What?

I've never heard anyone thanking Jesus. Maybe some American protestants, but never Catholics. Usually the ones who drum up Jesus are the new Baptist / Southern types.

In the hardest-to-explain myth of Christianity, they're all the same. Or something.

Which makes no sense because Jesus was flawed. If they are the same ("the trinity"), then that means God is also flawed. But God is supposed to be all-knowing, all-powerful etc and hence not flawed.

Contradiction.

Hence the "or something."

Why does Jesus get to be Jesus? It's not fair that some kid gets to be born with all these powers. I rather think God realized he made a mistake and that's why he hasn't had another child since... THANKS A LOT JESUS!!! I could've been next if you hadn't screwed it up!

Logic has nothing to do with it. One set of Bishops had to have something to disagree on and to use to defeat another set of Bishops.

Much of christian theology is just the fossilized remains of 3rd & 4th century Roman imperial politics. Those bishops were major political figures within the empire, with tons of power and wealth. To gain this power and keep it, you had to stay on the right side of the theological "debate," with the "right side" meaning whatever the emperor decided was correct.

I thank jesus every time I bukkake a gaggle of crack whores.

I save God/Holy Ghost for my less revelatory experiences.
