I cant speak for japan, having spent just few hours at and around the airport. As far as korea goes, I was born and grew up there for the most part of my life. There used to be a fad to a certain degree, where not-so-well educated americans would make their way to Korea to get it made; the so-called phenomenon dubbed as "Korean Dream".
The enitre country is crazy about learning english, to the point where standardized english testing is a requirement for most decent job applications. Due to the largely unsuccessful efforts in teaching the language with the public education system, many Koreans prefer attending private schools with instructors fluent in English. Add to the fact that there is a huge military base right at the heart of the capital, further contributing to the influx of American males.
Reportedely, they seem to love Korea for number of reasons, ability to attract women at will being one of them. So there is some truth to your claim; the thing is, however, those girls who would go out with Americans or GIs constitute a tiny fraction of gorgeous girls there. Nothing against the GIs or Americans residing in Korea, but Koreans in general arent too excited about interracial dating, let alone the rampant anti-american sentiments sweeping through the country incident after incident.
<flamesuit on> IMHO, most of those girls are either very premiscuous types, or those who are determined to learn english or find an American to settle with. I realize this is a broad, sweeping statement and that there are exceptions for any rule. What I am saying is that it is very unlikely to find an average hot korean girl willing to date with a random American. On the contrary, they would be put off by the language and cultural barrier. Moreover, most of Korean males look for cute, young looking girls; Amercians folks would be going for those who arent considered quite as attractive by the locals.
Since I have served in a branch of the korean army which is ultimately under the command of USFK commander and is stationed together with the USFK, I had a chance to interact with some of the GI dudes. My limited exposure to them and conversations I had pretty much confirmed my theory. They do get laid and seem to be very happy with their sex life, but when it comes to think about what kinda women they were dating...
Again, I am not so sure about how things work in Japan, but with all these talks about baka gaijins, I would assume it would be those kogaru's or ganguro's that Americans mostly score on. I could be completely off base here, things work differently in different countries, I must note.

Oh yeah, ditto on virtuagame0's stand on Asian people looking younger by nature. Perhaps it is partly due to diet, makeups, outfit and whatnot. I have noticed American Asian females tend to look significantly older for their age. Having one GF who happens to be Asian is great and all, but take it from me when I speak from experience of actually growing up there all the way up to high school.

I wouldn't be surprised if Japan just talks about it less. They have door to door prostitution services there, along with "love" hotels, they seem to have an awfully involved sex industry for a country that doesn't have sex. Hmm, well I could see couples having sex less frequently, but I'd imagine people in Japan are more likely to start having sex than in many other countries.

1. they definitely shave most of the time if you watch the uncensored videos.
If you see the idol pictures, then you won't see any shaved, because it's illegal to show any poonage in japan. On top of that, if any meat hangs out of the bush, they'll photoshop black over it, to make them look 10 times hairier than they really are.
