Why does it seem like the X1900GT is forgotten?

These things are going pretty cheap on Ebay, and they nearly offer the performance of an X1950 Pro! Yet, I never hear anyone talking about them or looking for them. Why is this? Were they limited run like the HD2900 Pro?

whoo...what?

ATI milked the crap out of the 1900 series... They all perform so closely that I'm not surprised this card is overlooked.

Yes, the 1900gt was a limited run card, because it was just a r580 core with one quad disabled. It was later replaced by the 1950pro, using a newer rv570 core.

Well, I'm mostly talking about used prices. I mean crap, I just bought one used for 60 bucks, and have seen GREAT prices on other ones on the forums as well. I just don't see a lot of them.

Also, the 3850 is still TWICE as much money at around 160$.

Retail prices on old stuff will always be inflated.

I have two of these cards, which I will very likely be selling soon. I've been pleased with them, although it's hard to tell the difference performance wise between one of these and an x850xtpe.

7800 and 7900GTX's, as well as X1800 and X1900XT's are going on fs/ft for $80-100

the new generation of cards has caused prices to tumble for the still worthy 78/7900 and X1800/X1900's :)
