Have you read the book? The movie is only about half the book and they left A LOT of stuff out. I'd give it a chance...

Well, to be fair, they did already sully it with sequels.

I thought the second one really wasn't that bad. I actually liked it better than the first. Might've been because at the time, I thought Jonathan Brandis was really cute, RIP.

Of course, the last time I saw any of them was when I was very, very young. Anyway, Hollywood needs to let well alone.

they're remaking The Neverending Story :( what's next, The Goonies?

the tattoo I was planning on getting this spring won't even seem fun and retro anymore.

a big Falcor face across your chest? or the Gmmork on your forearm? or perhaps the child-like Empress on your back?

I want to get something like this, but much smaller and on my forearm.

I can't even count the number of times I watched this movie when I was a kid. Loved that movie.

They are making a Total Recall reboot too.

Hitler said it best, "when will Hollywood learn to stop fucking with cherished masterpieces."

Of course they do. Every time a generation enters adulthood, they see an opportunity to use nostalgia for their gain and generate profit.

Add Arthur to that list now.

There's going to be a Robin Hood movie as well starring Russell Crowe.

Screw that, the original Robin Hood was Kevin Costner. :p

Prince John: And why should the people listen to you?
Robin Hood: Because, unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent.

Does that mean they might actually make it a GOOD movie instead of something aimed at 5 year olds?

WTF is up with all the Hollywood remakes? They need to grow some imagination...and make NEW movies that people actually WANT to see for reasons other than, "well, it's better than the others...and my wife/gf wants to go to a movie."
