Why does hardware hate me? :(

Today I just placed my 6th RMA for a harddrive, of course the first 5 have been IBM's but we'll ignore that to make me sound less lucky 😛. This one was a Western Digital which is really crapping out on me all of a sudden.

In addition to that i have RMA'd 2 motherboards 1 video card & another video card ( Voodoo 3 ) died on me but i can't rma that heh. I've also had a couple Powersupplies die on me 🙁.

This has all been within the last year or 2. Thats a lot of RMA's for such a short freaking time.

Hardware hates you? You should pull a "Office Space" and hate it back. We have a time-honored tradition in our house...roofing! The fridge doesn't work? Show that thing who's boss! Roof it!

System Temp: 36° C
CPU Temp: 54° C

maybe it's your surge protector or something ?
Maybe you're using a POS and gettting spikes left and right.

get a decent one with a line conditioner or something.

I'm going through the same thing with a computer for my friend. First motherboard is a no post, Second board is fine, but floppy cable doesn't work. After trying to load windows, the program detects an error on the hard drive, yep reformat and reload.

Hopefull all my problems are behind me when I finish it tonight.

All this just so he can play Links 2003.

Arg, I think i got power surged ( we lost power about a week back) because slowly one by one all my components are dropping one by one. Anyone know anything about making claims for surge protectors? anyone done one successfully?
