Why does fullscreen YouTube sometime go black?

Is unchecking hardware acceleration the only solution?
Then should I not check it back for other tasks, such as playing a video game?

I'm honestly not sure. I do not have that problem at all. Does it go black in the middle of watching something fullscreen? Or is it black at the beginning and stays black until you minimize and then bring it back to full size?

It plays normally in the embeded screen, I click full screen, and it goes to full screen with sound but no image. I can switch to small again and it has visuals. Go back to full, and no dice.

This actually started happening to me a couple of weeks ago. i can drag the browser window over to my second monitor, go full screen with out issue, drop back to regular window and put it back on my main monitor and go full screen without issue several times until i close that page.

This only seems to be happening to me on hulu. youtube seems unaffected. And i just checked, commercials on huly work fine, it's the actual show that gives me the problems.

flash version is 10,3,181,34
browsers are ie8 and opera 11.50
on windows XP

Yeah, this happened to me once I went to IE 9. But it generally only happens when I click on a related video while I'm already in full screen. All I have to do is exit full screen and then go back. It's annoying though.

yep happens here. i just shrink to window and click fullscreen again, then it works. flash is just shit, has been forever.

I noticed today it was doing this on youtube in opera also. Didn't think it was doing it before on youtube, but it is now.
