Why does FireFox do this?

Are you zooming the text? That tends to mess up table layouts.

If so, zoom the whole page (Firefox 3 Beta supports it)

I normally zoom but I have my browser set to Normal and my fonts to deafult.

I've noticed that sometimes too lately. If you click and hold on a link.. drag away to cancel, it all renders properly again. at least for me. it feels like a css bug of some sort. The latest update fixed it for me on OS X, but the windows version still exhibits it. This is for FF2.

I get this from time to time, I just thought it was a design coding problem... and I'm using FF3b5.

ctrl + mousewheel up/down will change the font sizes on the fly.

Seems to happen on sites designed for IE. By using the plugin IE view, the page formats correctly.

I am sure they both do the same thing.

Do you have javascript disabled? I've seen that cause similar issues on some pages. Probably just FF-unfriendly CSS though.
