Why does FF in Linux randomly pick websites to show page cannot be displayed?

At random, firefox will error out with a server cannot be found or connection has been reset error when I load certain sites from bookmarks. Reddit is one of them, but it's always the same sites. I just finished dealing with a clean install and it's doing it a lot on this particular distro. (Mint KDE). It does not actually try to load it, it just goes straight to an error. Then I have to hit refresh for it to actually load. Why does it do this, and how can I stop it? It does this on another machine at work too that's running Mint (not sure which version).

If I hit refresh its fine though. But someone at one of the sites is having the same issue so kind of odd.

I don't know why put up with that,i had same issues one way or the other with Firefox, when i changed to Chrome never had none issue what so ever, neither in Win or Linux.
