including water except air, you can breathe and breathe all you like until you drop dead from lack of water and foods, lol.
 
Water and food can be free. Find a good stream for water, catch fish out of it for food, pick berries and such for food. Now the problem is there aren't too many places that you can do that.

You need to take an economics 101 class.
You can acutally provide everything for yourself at the cost of you own labor, but that would be very inefficient.
That means you would have to raise your own cows just for beef, and plant your own crops. If you wanna go somewhere, you build your own car.
That is not very effiecient is it? The idea is to put your labor and concentrate it on one thing, and trade the fruit of your labor for other things.
Then as we advance, we realized we need to have some standard in exchanging of goods, that's where the idea of money came from, its a medium for trading.
 
Once we finally find life on another planet things will change drastically. We can enslave the other life forms and nobody will have to work again.
 
Not everything worth having has a monitary value associated with it. The love I get from my family does not depend on how much money I give my kids.

Because no one would build the pipes, pumps, and filtration systems necessary to get clean water to your house if they weren't getting paid.
 
i see now, so money is good for the soul and mind as well. btw, the more the merrier.. 🙂
hotdeals? that may cost less but i'm trying to get something for free for next to nothing.

let's see, if I suck up all the air in the world, put it in a big gigantic tank, sell it by the gallons, I would be the richest man on earth, even more so then bill gate ever made 😀
is air infinite? i doubt, much like water, and oil.

Because you have nothing that anybody wants. If you had a product or service to trade, maybe you wouldn't need to spend moneys.

Because, as has already been pointed out, other people are providing you those things. You must pay for their time and labor.

Go live off the land, and everything is free... but then you'll be working all day every day just to stay alive.
 
I just walked down the hall of the school library. I am currently not paying anything to go to school, and I am allowed to be here. I went and got a drink of water. Cost to me $0.
